Angela Acord--Buyer's & Seller's Agent

Angie tells her story: "I was born in Cleveland, Ohio. My father was a steelworker, who began investing in real estate when he was 22 years old. My mother was the head teller at a local bank, and a homemaker. During the late 1970's, my father took a friend's advice and obtained a real estate license. He immediately, and consistently, earned the highest awards each year for his success in real estate sales, and served on the Cleveland Area Board Of Realtors. He holds all of the professional designations for real estate, and is a broker in the Cleveland area.

I graduated high school in 1985. I received my training in real estate at Cleveland State University, after having attended Cuyahoga Community College. I was also a singer/songwriter/guitar-player at college campus clubs, and performed as a singer on recordings for regionally-known artists, as well as recorded my own songs. My songs have been heard on college and alternative radio stations. I like "American Roots" music; blues, gospel, jazz, folk, and still play and sing for fun..

I bought my first house when I was 22 years old (a duplex). Shortly after, I obtained a real estate license. I worked extensively with first time home buyers, as well as senior home sellers who were downsizing, from 1989-1993. I was a stay-at-home mom from 1994-1997. I re-entered real estate sales in 1997. 

In 2000, I decided to try something new, so I obtained a property and casualty insurance license. I went to work for a large national insurance company. After almost 3 years in the insurance industry, I decided to take a year off to do as I pleased......yoga, meditation, music, travel, theater, nature, and self-discovery. I fell in love with the natural beauty of Lake County from the very first time I visited. 

   I moved to Lake County in July, 2004. I began working at Best Image Marketing, providing advertorial newspaper columns for real estate agents nationwide. Working with real estate professionals only made me understand that working for buyers and sellers is what I really want to do.

For 2007, Angela is in the top 10 realtors in Lake County for numbers of properties sold.
For 2008, Angela is the #9 realtor county-wide for buyers sold.
For 2009, Angela is the #6 realtor county-wide for buyers sold.

Shevaun Stanfill, REALTOR®

Shevaun Stanfill is a Californian, born in Santa Rosa.  She grew up in a military family, experiencing different cultures and climates.  Shevaun also attended college in California, completing her student teaching requirement at Russian River Charter School.

It was the inspirational example of her Aunt Karla (broker/owner of a real estate firm on the Oregon Coast) that influenced her decision to alter course from a teaching degree into the world of real estate.  She's never looked back.

Shevaun launched her real estate career in Lake County in 2006.  She has received recognition for being an outstanding sales agent.  Shevaun is honored to be a member of the Lake County Board of Realtors Scholarship Committee.  The Committee raises funds and awards college scholarships to deserving Lake County high school students.

She envisions her real estate career as one that dovetails with raising a family.  Shevaun embraces life in Lake County; her coworkers and clients are an extension of her family.  She also believes that one's community is global.  Shevaun is a "loaner" through Kiva, an international micro-lending non-profit based in San Francisco.

Shevaun's interests include home improvement projects, boating on Clear Lake with her partner, Zac, attending professional  social events and spending time with her family, including their two dogs.

Real Estate is Joy Emry’s passion starting with Anthony School of Real Estate in 1979 to learn more about the Real Estate field and how she could enter it as an investor. Joy began buying and selling property, building and remodeling homes, developing bare land for resale. 

Joys back ground includes 14 years as an owner of Higher Grounds Landscaping. While working directly with contractors and property owners, she developed valuable business management skills, and sense of loyalty to her clients. 

As of 2002 she became a licensed Realtor and an Accredited Staging Professional in 2004 applying her powerful staging techniques to prepare homes for sale. 

Now a Rancher and Horse Breeder Joy has experience with rural and ranch properties. She enjoys the ambiance of small towns and is dedicated to being part of the community. Our Transaction Coordinator is Sherry Marie. If we do a deal together, Sherry will be the one that makes sure all that paperwork that informs and protects you is done, the inspections you want done are ordered, and you are kept informed as the escrow progresses. She doesn't miss a beat. 

Sherry has lived in Lake County, on Cobb Mountain since 1979, where she has raised her family. She is an avid golfer and let you know about the best places to play. She is well qualified to ensure that your transaction is handled very professionally.
